Frequently Asked Questions
Can I contribute some of my own labor to help with my log cabin project?
Yes. We offer complete home packages or a weather-tight shell, where you could complete the finish work on your own. Contributing your time in painting, staining and other tasks could also result in significant savings.
Are log homes more expensive than a conventionally framed house?
Beautiful log homes and cabins can be engineered for almost any budget.
What is the best type of wood to build a log home from?
In addition to building new log homes, we have repaired and maintained log homes for many years. We find that cedar holds up the best.
Are log cabins easily maintained once built?
Yes. With a minimal maintenance every year you can keep your log home free of rot, mildew, moisture and dampness.
Are log cabins all wood or can there be conventionally framed walls inside?
Your log cabin can be custom built any way that you want to design it.
Do you offer a maintenance plan associated with log homes that you sell?
Yes. Flexible maintenance plans are available for all budgets.
Can log homes be expanded or added on to?
Yes. Additions and expansions are only limited by your imagination.
